SHOTS ON NET

The NHL from a fan's perspective.

by Lyle Richardson

ABOUT THE AUTHOR.

Lyle Richardson has been a die-hard hockey fan since 1970. His favourite players over the years include Bobby Orr, Ken Dryden, Guy Lafleur, Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr. Sadly, his dream of playing for the Montreal Canadiens was cut short, due to lack of ability.

He's been a serviceman in the Canadian Forces since 1980, during which time he has served at various bases, ships and stations across Canada, including a tour in the Persian Gulf in 1991, and a peacekeeping tour in Croatia in 1994.

In September, 1998, he launched his personal hockey website "Spector's Hockey", specializing in daily trade rumours, weekly commentary on NHL events, playoff predictions and many other hockey-related topics. Lyle is also a contributing writer to FoxSports.com.

Shots on Net is his first book. He presently resides in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada with his wife Tina, and his son Kiefer.
